ABOUT JULIA
East Bay Intimacy & Sex Therapy Center, a division of California Relationship Centers, is happy to have the support of the talented San Francisco East Bay Couples Counselor, Julia Flood, LCSW, who works extensively with couples issues, complex relationship dynamics, attachment needs, emotional & intimacy challenges, communication, and other issues.
Julia has extensive training in counseling psychology and she is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy, as well as other couples therapy modalities, which have an attachment-based foundation and a focus on experiential and embodied learning, enhancing emotional connection, improving communication skills, stopping negative cycles and deepening love and connection with oneself and/or a partner. She helps people with problematic relationship dynamics or issues and assists them to connect to their awareness of them-self, their partner and their attachment needs.
Julia works with couples as well as individuals and she has offices in Walnut Creek and San Francisco.
Please note that at this time she is only currently accepting clients in Walnut Creek.

Julia's special focus is on helping couples break out of the vicious cycle of hurting and being hurt. She also specializes in helping multi-cultural couples deal with cultural differences that often pose major stumbling blocks to their relationship. Julia says, "You might be feeling very little hope for your relationship right now. As your couples counselor I see my job as holding that hope for you for a while, until you can see whether it is possible to rebuild your commitment.
I am passionate about woking with partners and I love to work with people organically as the session unfolds.
